JOB OVERVIEW

The Chief Accountant will be responsible for managing the company s financial activities, ensuring compliance with local accounting regulations, and supervising the finance team. The role involves preparing financial statements, managing budgets, overseeing audits, and ensuring accurate reporting of financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.

General Ledger Management: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop, manage, and monitor company budgets, and provide financial forecasts to support business planning.

Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, prepare and file tax returns, and manage audits related to tax matters.

Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring that the company meets its financial obligations.

Internal Controls: Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data accuracy.

Audit Management: Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits, ensuring all financial information is in line with regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop junior accounting staff, ensuring their work is aligned with company standards.

Cost Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify areas for cost reduction and improve overall financial performance.

Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely payments and collections.

Financial Strategy: Assist in the development of financial strategies to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2-3 years in a senior role.
