Job Description

Analyze and monitor costs associated with heavy equipment used in engineering and contracting projects.
Prepare detailed cost reports and forecasts for equipment usage, maintenance, and depreciation.
Track and reconcile equipment-related expenses against project budgets and timelines.
Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to ensure cost-effective equipment utilization.
Assist in the development and implementation of cost control procedures for heavy machinery.
Conduct periodic audits of equipment costs and recommend process improvements.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes by providing accurate cost data.
Maintain up-to-date records of equipment inventory, usage, and associated costs.
Prepare variance analyses and explain deviations from budgeted costs.
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards in all cost accounting activities.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within the construction or heavy equipment industry.
Strong understanding of cost control principles and accounting practices.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
