Job Description

• Analyze and monitor costs associated with heavy equipment used in engineering and contracting projects.
• Prepare detailed cost reports and forecasts for equipment usage, maintenance, and depreciation.
• Track and reconcile equipment-related expenses against project budgets and timelines.
• Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to ensure cost-effective equipment utilization.
• Assist in the development and implementation of cost control procedures for heavy machinery.
• Conduct periodic audits of equipment costs and recommend process improvements.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes by providing accurate cost data.
• Maintain up-to-date records of equipment inventory, usage, and associated costs.
• Prepare variance analyses and explain deviations from budgeted costs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards in all cost accounting activities.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within the construction or heavy equipment industry.
• Strong understanding of cost control principles and accounting practices.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
