Job Description
- Analyze and record manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead expenses.
- Prepare detailed cost reports and present findings to management for strategic decision-making.
- Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions, ensuring accuracy in stock levels and valuation.
- Assist in the development and implementation of cost accounting systems and procedures.
- Conduct variance analysis between actual and standard costs, identifying key drivers and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production, procurement, and finance teams to optimize cost control measures.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate cost data and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant accounting standards.
- Participate in periodic audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve cost efficiency and streamline accounting processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing or trading environment.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, methods, and best practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
