KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES General • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP or IFRS. • Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes. • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and variances that support budgetary decisions. • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions. • Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation and support during audits. • Mentor and train junior accounting staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development. • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
BACKGROUND, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Professional accounting certification (CA, CPA, ACCA) preferred. Skills • Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations. • Excellent analytical skills to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights. • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and documentation. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders. • Leadership skills to mentor and motivate junior staff in a collaborative team environment. • Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions. • Effective organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
