Job Description

• Record all inbound and outbound stock movements (receipts and issues) in the accounting system.
• Match supplier invoices with purchase orders and goods received notes (GRNs).
• Track damaged or expired inventory and allocate associated costs correctly.
• Prepare regular reports on stock movements and cost of goods sold (COGS).
• Coordinate with storekeepers to ensure physical stock matches accounting records.
• Participate in periodic and surprise stock counts and analyze discrepancies.
• Monitor stock levels and report slow-moving or out-of-stock items.
• Prepare journal entries related to inventory transactions and post to the general ledger.
• Collaborate with the sales and distribution departments to reconcile inventory differences.
• Regularly update and verify item cost prices in coordination with the purchasing department.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in inventory accounting, preferably in food distribution or FMCG companies.
• Good knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Strong Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
