We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical E-Commerce Accountant to manage the financial operations of our online business. The role involves overseeing accounting processes, handling financial reporting, tracking online sales transactions, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in e-commerce platforms, digital payment systems, and financial data analysis.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Record and reconcile daily online sales transactions across multiple e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon, Noon, Magento, WooCommerce).
• Monitor and reconcile payments received through various gateways (PayPal, Stripe, credit/debit cards, COD, etc.).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Handle inventory costing, purchase orders, and supplier reconciliations.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain cash flow reports.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, sales tax, and other local regulatory requirements.
• Analyze e-commerce financial performance, identify variances, and provide recommendations for cost control and profitability.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes tailored to e-commerce operations.
• Collaborate with the operations, marketing, and supply chain teams to provide financial insights for decision-making.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in e-commerce, retail.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Shopify, Idara ERP) and Excel.Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and online payment systems.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
