Job Description
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, statements, and records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Monitor and report on project costs, progress billing, and variances between budgets and actuals.
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws and assist with the preparation of VAT, WHT, and other statutory returns.
- Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams verify invoices, track expenses, and ensure accurate allocations.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and ensure accurate depreciation calculations.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum [2–5] years of accounting experience, preferably in the engineering or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or industry-specific ERP systems).
• Experience with project accounting, cost control, and contract billing is a strong advantage.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
