Job Description

Job Summary:  seeking to hire a General Accountant to join its team. The candidate must have at least two years of practical experience in the accounting field, with a preference for those experienced in the construction industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Record accounting transactions and prepare journal entries using the French journal system.
• Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring compliance with legal submission deadlines.
• Track and manage financial custodianships (petty cash/advances) and perform necessary closing and reconciliation procedures.
• Manage and follow up on supplier/vendor accounts.
• Handle dealings with subcontractors and transportation contractors, and review their payments/dues.
• Assist in the preparation of periodic financial reports.
• Monitor financial documents to ensure their accuracy and proper organization.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, majoring in Accounting, or an equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of two years of practical experience as an accountant.
• Experience working with the French journal system.
• Good knowledge of tax procedures and accounting principles.
• Previous experience in construction companies is preferred.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel.
• High accuracy, with strong organizational and time management skills.
