The Financial Head at Alkaffary Group is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the group's overall financial strategy, planning, and management.
This role entails directing financial operations, managing budgets, financial reporting, and ensuring regulatory compliance across all business units.
The Financial Head will provide strategic guidance to optimize financial performance, risk management, and investment initiatives to support the long-term growth and sustainability of the company.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Team Leadership: Supervise financial staff and ensure all transactions are processed accurately and timely, maintaining high standards of operational excellence.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Manage the team and collaborate closely with department heads, including Accounts Payable (AP) , Accounts Receivable (AR) , and the Cost & Inventory Controller.
SAP Proficiency: Utilize the SAP system to manage, maintain, and analyze financial data, ensuring data integrity and system optimization.
Financial Reporting (IFRS): Prepare and review comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring full compliance with IFRS standards.
Budgeting & Financial Strategy: Assist in the development and monitoring of the annual budget, leveraging CMA principles to provide strategic financial insights.
Retail Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends and improvement opportunities specifically within the Retail sector.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to financial regulations, tax laws, and internal company policies.
Audit Liaison: Lead the communication with external auditors, addressing findings and ensuring a smooth audit process.
Staff Development: Provide continuous training and support to the finance team to enhance their technical skills and professional knowledge.
Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably as a Head of Finance or similar.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and corporate finance.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Advanced proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
Relevant professional qualifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA are preferred.
Experience within diversified business groups or multi-industry companies is an advantage.
