Bow & Ark is seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Cost Control Accountant to join its Finance Department.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing product costing, inventory control, variance analysis, and financial reporting across manufacturing and retail operations. This position requires a strong understanding of production costing, inventory management, and financial controls within a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and review cost sheets for products, recipes, packaging, and finished goods. Analyze raw material consumption, production yields, and manufacturing variances. Monitor standard costs versus actual costs and investigate discrepancies. Review production reports and validate material usage against approved recipes and bills of materials (BOMs). Conduct monthly cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency. Participate in monthly stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with system records. Review inventory movements between warehouses, production facilities, and branches. Monitor wastage, losses, and abnormal consumption and provide recommendations for corrective actions. Prepare monthly cost control reports, profitability analysis, and management dashboards. Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual planning activities. Review supplier pricing changes and assess their impact on product profitability and margins. Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure accurate costing and reporting. Ensure proper implementation of internal controls related to inventory and production activities. Support internal and external audits related to inventory and cost accounting. Participate in ERP cost structure updates and process improvement initiatives. Assist management in evaluating new products, promotions, and business opportunities from a costing perspective.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Cost Accounting or Cost Control. Previous experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food production, retail, or industrial environments is highly preferred. Strong understanding of inventory management, production costing, BOMs, and variance analysis. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience working with ERP systems for costing and inventory management. Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments.
