Job Title: Tax Accountant Location: Mohandseen, Giza (Onsite, Full-Time) Working Days: Sunday to Thursday Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PMBenefits: Medical insurance, social insurance, and other benefits as per company policy Reports To: Accounting Manager / Finance Director About UsWe are a reputable [insert industry, e.g., manufacturing, trading, services, or IT] company based in Mohandseen, committed to full financial compliance and operational excellence. We are looking for a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Accountant to manage all tax-related matters and ensure timely, accurate filings in accordance with Egyptian tax laws. Role Overview The Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing, filing, and reconciling all tax declarations, responding to tax authority inquiries, and ensuring the company remains fully compliant with VAT, withholding tax, payroll tax, and corporate income tax regulations. This is a full-time, onsite role based in our Mohandseen office. Key Responsibilities Tax Preparation & Filing Prepare and file monthly and quarterly VAT (Value Added Tax) returns in compliance with Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) regulations. Calculate, withhold, and remit withholding taxes (WHT) on payments to suppliers, contractors, and service providers. Prepare and file payroll tax returns (related to salaries and wages). Assist with the preparation of annual corporate income tax returns. Compliance & Reconciliation Reconcile tax accounts with general ledger entries on a monthly basis. Ensure all tax-related invoices (purchase and sales) meet ETA requirements (including electronic invoice/e-receipt standards if applicable). Maintain organized tax files and supporting documents for audit purposes. Audits & Tax Authority Inquiries Respond to inquiries and requests from the Egyptian Tax Authority. Assist with tax audits by preparing required schedules, explanations, and documentation. Calculate any tax assessments, penalties, or adjustments as needed. Advisory & Support Stay updated on changes to Egyptian tax laws and regulations. Advise internal teams (procurement, sales, HR) on tax implications of transactions. Support the finance team during monthly and year-end closing processes. Requirements Must-Have:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.2–5 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in Egypt. Solid knowledge of Egyptian tax laws (VAT, withholding tax, payroll tax, corporate income tax). Proficiency in tax software and accounting systems (e.g., ERP, Quick Books, Odoo, or similar). Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas). Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines. Excellent command of Arabic (for tax authority communication) and good English (for internal reporting). Ability to work full-time onsite in Mohandseen. Nice-to-Have:Previous experience with electronic invoice (e-invoice) submission to the Egyptian Tax Authority. Familiarity with tax accounting under IFRS or Egyptian Accounting Standards. Prior experience in tax audits or working with tax consultants. Professional certification (e.g., Diploma in Taxation, CMA partially completed, or同等).
