Job Description

Sara’s Jar is looking for a careful and organized Accounting Officer to handle the company’s daily accounting and bookkeeping activities.

The candidate will be responsible for recording daily transactions, organizing invoices and documents, following up on customer and supplier accounts, supporting inventory and cost tracking, and keeping the company’s financial records accurate and up to date.

This role is suitable for a junior accountant with strong attention to detail, good follow-up skills, and willingness to learn. The candidate will work closely with management and the external accountant/tax consultant when needed.

• Record daily sales, purchases, expenses, payments, and receipts.
• Organize invoices, credit notes, supplier bills, receipts, and supporting documents.
• Follow up on customer balances, collections, and account statements.
• Follow up on supplier balances, payments, and due invoices.
• Record petty cash and factory expenses accurately.
• Support inventory tracking for raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
• Assist in preparing sales, expenses, receivables, payables, and cash flow reports.
• Reconcile bank transactions with company records.
• Maintain clear filing and documentation for accounting and tax purposes.
• Enter and update financial data on accounting software.
• Coordinate with the external accountant or tax consultant when required.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of accounting experience.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Good Microsoft Office skills.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Organized and able to keep documents properly filed.
• Able to follow up on tasks and complete work on time.
• Good communication skills.
• Willing to learn and grow with the company.
• Able to work on-site.
• Experience with Zoho Books, Odoo, QuickBooks, or any accounting software is a plus.
• Experience or interest in inventory, cost accounting, food manufacturing, or FMCG is a plus.
