Khaleej Pack Industry is a UAE-based packaging manufacturer headquartered in Umm Al Quwain with regional operations. We're hiring a Senior Accountant to take ownership of our group finance function.

About the Role

A hands-on Senior Accountant to own the financial backbone of our group — books, costing, banking, consolidation, and audit — and become the right hand of the owner.

This is a build role, not a maintain role. You will design systems, implement controls, and advise leadership directly.

What You'll Own

Core deliverables — Year 1

●       Monthly close in 10 working days across all group entities

●       Product-level gross profit analysis delivered every month

●       Multi-entity consolidation under IFRS across multiple currencies

●       Bank relationship management — facility reviews, covenant tracking, refinancing

●       Statutory audit interface — UAE Corporate Tax + financial audit

●       Costing system rollout — absorption costing, variance reporting, cost-center tracking

●       Cash flow forecasting — 13-week rolling forecast plus annual plan

●       ERP migration support — own the chart of accounts, evaluate next-generation ERP options

Daily / weekly responsibilities

●       Manage AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations

●       Review supplier and customer aging; escalate where needed

●       Approve and post journals with appropriate controls

●       Monitor inventory valuation (RM, WIP, FG) under IAS 2

●       Track variances — material price, labor efficiency, overhead spending

●       Coordinate with regional finance teams and external partners

Qualification

CA Inter / CA Finalist / ACCA Finalist / CMA — minimum

Experience

5–8 years total, minimum 3 years in manufacturing

Industry

Plastics, packaging, FMCG, or industrial manufacturing preferred

Cost Accounting

Standard costing, absorption costing, variance analysis — non-negotiable

Multi-Entity

Multi-company or multi-country consolidation experience

Multi-Currency

AED + USD + at least one Asian currency

IFRS

Strong working knowledge — IAS 2, IAS 16, IAS 19, IFRS 15

ERP

Worked on at least two ERPs (FACTS / Odoo / ERPNext / SAP B1 / Tally Prime)

Excel

Advanced — pivot tables, SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH; Power Query a plus

Banking

Letters of Credit, trade finance, working capital facilities

Languages

English (mandatory); Urdu/Hindi (strong plus); Arabic (plus)

What Would Make You Stand Out

✓ CA / ACCA fully qualified

✓ Worked in packaging or plastics manufacturing specifically

✓ Hands-on experience implementing Odoo or ERPNext from scratch

✓ Pakistan FBR statutory tax exposure

✓ Built a costing system from zero in a previous role

✓ Experience improving margins or driving cost efficiency at scale

✓ Comfortable owning a function end-to-end

You're NOT a Fit If…

✗ You only know Tally / QuickBooks at trader-level

✗ You're a pure tax / audit specialist with no factory floor experience

✗ You expect a large team to support you from Day 1

✗ You prefer to 'manage' rather than 'do'

✗ You can't push back constructively when you disagree with leadership
