SUMMARYPartner with supply chain functions including factory, engineering, site operations, supply planning and logistics to provide financial information, tools, analysis, and insights, helping them make more informed decisions and driving business strategy, growth and profitability.
Financial Responsibility:Responsible for improving the impact, and understanding, of financial reporting on business performance, providing analysis and delivering insight that links financial reports to business strategies
DESCRIPTION:Strategic Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis: Develop and manage financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning for supply chain operations Supply Chain Initiatives: Partner with supply chain leaders to drive key initiatives (including Savings agendas) aimed at improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing overall performance in manufacturing, logistics, and sourcing. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and other departments to ensure financial alignment and support strategic decision-making. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with supply chain activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Continuous Improvement: Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance financial processes and systems within the supply chain function.
Operational Product/Process costing control by ensuring that costs reflect the true cost of manufacture and imports Perform month end closing activities in the Oracle system ensuring costs are correctly recorded and variances vs. budget / forecast are identified, rectified and reported correctly and timely Performance Reporting: Prepare and present regular financial reports and performance metrics to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement, such as Material Usage Variances, Industrial Cost Performance vs. Budget etc. Track and control Supply Chain Spends (Procurement, Industrial, Logistics & Warehousing) for the C&S business within the country - ensuring alignment with budgetary goals and identifying opportunities for cost optimization. Partner with logistics on importation, customs, sea and land logistics as appropriate. Stock management and reporting including stock reconciliations and control of stock write-offs Support supply chain and wider finance teams in the monthly Operational Business Review meeting decks and other financial reviews Annual budget preparation identifying key elements through cost bridges Provide ad-hoc reporting as needed including leading and lagging indicators Capex pre post analysis & decision support Capex Budgeting/forecasting for site Provide support for costing of new product developments, innovations, launches/relaunches Be the custodian of Bill of Materials from finance side to ensure adequate controls are being followed before over their changes Review and processing production Bill of Materials (BOM) and analyse the difference between actual and standard consumption, providing insights on improvements. Utilize Oracle ERP as appropriate.
Operational Enhancements Maintain and improve upon the existing the cost accounting functions in support of manufacturing operations and supply chain management Implement principles for calculating SKU-wise and overall Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) by month Conduct and publish analysis on analytics on COGS optimisation Contribute to performance alignment on the KPI architecture for Supply Chain by presenting financial performance, full year forecasts and budget variances including understanding financial opportunities and risk
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLSAcademic and professional qualifications:Degree in Accounting and Finance, (ACCA or ACA is desirable, not mandatory) Experience:3-5 years’ overall experience in finance (minimum 1 year experience in Costing, Supply Chain Finance or similar role)
