Job Description
Core Job Responsibilities
- Tax Filings & Declarations: Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns, including VAT, Withholding Tax (WHT), and Payroll Taxes.
- ETA Compliance: Actively use the Egyptian Tax Authority's e-invoicing and e-receipt portal to process and track transactions.
- Audits & Inspections: Organize financial documentation, prepare working papers, and act as a liaison during tax inspections and audits by authorities
- Reconciliations: Review invoices, reconcile tax balances, and ensure accurate tax treatments for expenses and revenues.
- Advisory: Track changes in Egyptian tax legislation and recommend tax-saving strategies to senior management
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related commerce field.
- Experience: Typically 2 to 5+ years of experience in corporate tax or within the tax department of a public accounting/consulting firm.
- Local Tax Knowledge: Solid understanding of Egyptian Income Tax Law, VAT frameworks, and social insurance regulations.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP), and ETA portal experience.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, high attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication in Arabic and English.
- Certifications: Professional qualifications like CPA, CMA, or ACCA are highly preferred for senior roles.
