Job Description
- Prepare and record journal entries accurately and timely.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Perform bank, vendor, customer, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review financial transactions to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare and submit VAT, withholding tax, and other tax returns in compliance with local regulations.
- Issue and manage e-invoices and e-receipts through the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) system.
- Follow up on invoice validation, rejection cases, and required corrections.
- Maintain tax records and support tax audits, inquiries, and reconciliations.
- Monitor tax deadlines and stay updated on tax laws and regulatory changes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting, taxation, or a similar role.
- Good understanding of General Ledger accounting principles.
- Basic knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of IFRS and local tax regulations is an advantage.
