Job Description
Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Financial Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic financial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record-Keeping: Compile monthly management accounts and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Transactional Processing & Account Reconciliation: Handle daily transactional processing, including the posting of general journal entries, and perform regular Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Invoicing and Payments: Assist with invoice preparation, payment processing, and receivables tracking, serving as the primary contact for procure-to-pay processes and overseeing of the creditors function
- Process Optimisation: Proactively gather information and continuously seek opportunities to enhance processes within the finance team, ensuring optimal team performance.
- Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting policies, company policies, tax regulations, and other relevant policies and regulations.
- Cash Management: Assist with operational treasury execution.
- Audit Support: Assisting with external audits in conjunction with the Financial Manager.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Month-End & Year-End Close Processes: Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Tax preparation and support: Assist with VAT, income tax, and other statutory return preparation and submissions.
- Ad Hoc Duties: Perform other financial and administrative tasks as required.
Job Requirements
- Excellent in English
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 4-7 years of experience in accounting or finance
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting software (Xero) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
