Company Description CFO Advisory and Accountancy is a technology-enabled finance and advisory firm helping SMEs across Qatar and the GCC achieve sustainable growth. We combine cloud-based financial tools, automated accounting workflows, and CPA-led Client Advisory Services (CAS) — including virtual CFO support — to give growing businesses clarity, control, and strategic insight. By pairing analytics-driven reporting with hands-on advisory, we help our clients reduce costs, strengthen decision-making, and scale with confidence. Role Description The Senior Accountant – Client Advisory is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar, managing a portfolio of SME clients and serving as a trusted point of contact for their financial reporting and advisory needs. This is not a transactional accounting role. Day-to-day bookkeeping is largely automated — client data flows through our portal and is processed within our ERP-driven platform, with reporting delivered through our analytics tools. Your focus is oversight, integrity, and advisory: ensuring the numbers are right, and helping clients use them to grow.

In this role you will:Manage a portfolio of SME clients as a key finance advisor. Review the work of data analysts, answer their technical queries, and support their development. Oversee bank reconciliations, period-end completion, and the accuracy and integrity of client financial data processed through our platform. Review and validate financial statements and management reports before they reach clients. Hold monthly client meetings to discuss financial performance, surface risks, and identify growth opportunities. Support clients with budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow planning, translating financial data into actionable business insight. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls, and support audit and documentation needs.

Qualifications3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally with some review or mentoring exposure. Strong technical accounting foundation: financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and period-end close. Ability to advise clients or management and translate financial data into business insight. Experience working with cloud-based ERP and automated finance workflows, plus advanced Excel and reporting/BI tools. Sound knowledge of accounting standards, and internal control and audit support. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance business owners. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (CMA) preferred. Based in or able to relocate in Doha, Qatar.
