Job Description

  • Prepare, review, and submit all tax returns in compliance with Egyptian tax laws and regulations.

  • Prepare and file monthly VAT returns and ensure accurate reporting of domestic and export transactions.

  • Review export sales documentation, including commercial invoices, customs declarations, shipping documents, and export evidence required for VAT purposes.

  • Monitor the proper tax treatment of export sales and ensure compliance with applicable VAT exemptions and zero-rating provisions.

  • Prepare and follow up VAT refund claims related to export activities.

  • Calculate, record, and reconcile withholding tax (WHT) and ensure timely submission of withholding tax forms and payments.

  • Review customer and supplier invoices to ensure compliance with tax regulations and electronic invoicing requirements.

  • Ensure the accurate issuance and receipt of electronic invoices and electronic receipts through the Egyptian Tax Authority system.

  • Reconcile tax accounts, investigate discrepancies, and maintain supporting schedules.

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of transfer pricing and related tax documentation when applicable.

  • Support tax audits, inspections, and examinations conducted by the Egyptian Tax Authority and Customs Authority.

  • Prepare tax provisions and tax-related reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.

  • Coordinate with customs brokers, logistics providers, and internal departments regarding export and import tax matters.

  • Monitor changes in Egyptian tax legislation and assess their impact on the company's operations.

  • Maintain proper tax records and documentation to support tax filings and audits.

  • Assist management in identifying tax risks, compliance issues, and opportunities for process improvements.

  • Participate in tax planning initiatives while ensuring full compliance with applicable regulations.

  • Support the annual corporate income tax return preparation process and related tax reconciliations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 3–5 years of experience in taxation, preferably within a manufacturing and exporting company.

  • Strong knowledge of Egyptian Income Tax Law, VAT Law, and Withholding Tax regulations.

  • Experience with VAT refund procedures related to exports.

  • Familiarity with electronic invoicing and electronic receipt systems.

  • Good understanding of customs and export documentation.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet regulatory deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Odoo ERP is an advantage .

  • Strong command of written and spoken English.
