Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage the accounting and financial reporting function. The role requires strong expertise in full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and investment-related transactions, along with the ability to independently handle accounts and supervise junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• • Manage complete accounting operations independently 
  • Prepare and finalize trial balance, profit & loss statement, and balance sheet 
  • Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing 
  • Maintain accurate and compliant books of accounts in line with applicable accounting standards 
  • Perform and review bank and general ledger reconciliations 
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable 
  • Review journal entries and ensure accuracy of supporting documentation 
  • Strengthen internal controls and ensure proper expense classification  
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements 
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors 
  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation 
  • Assist in statutory and management reporting requirements  
  • Supervise and guide junior accountant(s) 
  • Review work performed by junior staff and ensure accuracy and timeliness 
  • Provide technical support and training where required 
  • Prepare financial statements and management reports 
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management 
  • Provide financial data and analysis to support decision-making 

Requirements:

• • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline 
  • 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in investment or financial services 
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (IFRS preferred) 
  • Hands-on experience in trial balance and full set of accounts 
  • Ability to manage accounting functions independently 
  • Experience in supervising junior staff 
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, or similar) 
  • Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills
