Overview: As our Cost Accountant, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, responsible for analyzing costs, optimizing processes, and providing critical insights that shape strategic decisions. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring financial accuracy and contributing to our overall success.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain robust cost accounting systems, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles.
Perform in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, profitability studies, and cost-benefit assessments.
Prepare comprehensive cost reports and budgets, offering actionable insights to management.
Collaborate with various departments to gather data, understand operational processes, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Support inventory valuation and control procedures, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
Participate in month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and internal controls.
A minimum of 3-7 years of progressive experience in Cost Accounting or a related financial role.
Mastery in Cost Accounting: A proven track record in applying cost accounting principles and methodologies.
Exceptional Financial Analysis: Ability to conduct thorough financial analysis, interpret data, and provide actionable insights.
Strong Accounting Foundation: Comprehensive understanding of general accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Budgeting and Forecasting: Expertise in developing and managing budgets and financial forecasts.
Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills: Capability to utilize Excel for complex data analysis and reporting.
ERP System Experience: Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems, preferably SAP.
Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to identify issues, analyze data, and propose effective solutions.
