The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen.
Key Responsibilities Supervise and manage the daily accounting operations of operations and maintenance projects. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Monitor project costs, budgets, and expenditures to ensure financial efficiency. Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger transactions. Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements. Coordinate with project managers to monitor project profitability and financial performance. Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor working capital requirements. Support internal and external audits by providing required financial documentation. Develop and improve accounting procedures and internal financial controls. Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and cost control. Supervise and mentor the accounting team, ensuring high performance and professional development.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification such as SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA is preferred. Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience in Operations & Maintenance (O&M), facilities management or contracting companies is highly preferred. Skills Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles (IFRS). Excellent budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis skills. Proficiency in ERP systems ( Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) and Microsoft Excel. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
