About the Role
The Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for preparing and reviewing vendor reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records. The role also involves investigating and resolving invoice and credit note discrepancies efficiently. As problem-solving is a key aspect of the position, experience in dispute management is highly beneficial. The analyst will support continuous process improvement by identifying and sharing best practices. Additionally, the role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and business partners.
Your Key Responsibilities
• Creating and reviewing Vendor reconciliations in a timely manner
• Identifying processing errors and documenting root cause
• Investigating and resolving invoice and credit note queries
• Liaising with other business streams to resolve queries
• Working with business streams to reduce processing errors
• Reviewing unmatched entries on AP ledger
• Building working relationships with vendors and maintaining weekly contact to discuss open queries
• Ensuring accounts do not go on credit hold/payments made on time
Qualifications / Requirements
Required Competencies, Skills, and Experience
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Strong active listening and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey issues across teams
• Proven ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and demonstrate strong time management skills
• Good understanding or prior experience with the purchase order (PO) process
• Proactive and tenacious approach to problem-solving and issue resolution
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate-level Excel skills
• Effective and engaging communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and clients
• Experience working with ERP systems
Desirable Qualifications
• Experience handling multi-currency accounts
• Previous experience with SAP
