Role Description The Accountant at MYQ Trading will handle day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, and maintaining accurate ledgers. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, reconciling bank statements, monitoring cash flow, and assisting with monthly and annual closing activities. The role involves preparing basic financial reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies. The Accountant will also coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders such as suppliers and service providers on financial matters. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai. Qualifications Strong skills in general accounting, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations. Ability to prepare and review financial statements, support budgeting, and assist with financial reporting and analysis. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel, including working with spreadsheets, formulas, and data entry. Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, basic taxation principles, and compliance requirements in the UAE is an advantage. Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Effective communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and service providers, and for presenting financial information clearly. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) are a plus. Previous experience in trading, machinery, or industrial sectors is beneficial, as well as familiarity with inventory and asset management.
