Job Description:

Junior Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with reporting and reconciliation activities. The role requires strong Excel skills, familiarity with ERP systems, and a high level of accuracy and discipline. The position is based on-site in Sheikh Zayed and reports directly to the Accounting Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and review daily financial transactions.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Perform bank, supplier, and customer account reconciliations.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial reports.
• Review invoices, receipts, and supporting documents for accuracy.
• Maintain organized financial files and documentation.
• Assist during month-end closing and internal or external audits.
• Enter and update accounting information using the company's ERP system.
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures and policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Previous experience using an ERP system; experience with Odoo is preferred.
• Basic to intermediate English proficiency.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Motivated, disciplined, hardworking, and adaptable to change.

Working Conditions

• Full-time, on-site position.
• Fixed working schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility.
• Two days off per week.
• One-year employment contract.
