Role Description The Accountant role at Abdulrahman Al-Molhaq Contracting Est. is a full-time, on-site position based in Saudi Arabia. The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, and ensuring that ledgers, sub-ledgers, and trial balances are up to date. Daily tasks include processing invoices, expense claims, and payments; reconciling bank and supplier accounts; and assisting with payroll calculations and statutory obligations. The role also involves supporting budgeting and cost control for projects, preparing periodic financial reports, and coordinating with internal teams and external auditors to ensure compliance with local accounting standards and company policies. The Accountant is expected to contribute to improving financial processes and providing clear, timely financial information to management. Qualifications Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll support. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, including use of formulas, pivot tables, and basic data analysis. Understanding of budgeting, cost control, and project-based accounting in a contracting or construction environment is an advantage. Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks. Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are an asset. Ability to work collaboratively on-site with cross-functional teams and maintain confidentiality of financial information. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are beneficial. Previous experience as an accountant or in a similar finance role, preferably within Saudi Arabia or the GCC region.
