Job Description

We’re Hiring: Costing Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Costing Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in manufacturing cost analysis, inventory valuation, product costing, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Calculate and maintain product costs, including raw materials, labor, overhead, and production expenses.

• Prepare and review Bills of Materials (BOMs) and standard cost sheets.

• Analyze actual production costs against standard costs and investigate variances.

• Monitor inventory valuation, consumption, wastage, and production losses.

• Prepare monthly cost reports and provide management with accurate cost analysis.

• Coordinate with production, procurement, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure accurate costing data.

• Review purchase prices, material usage, and manufacturing expenses.

• Support pricing decisions by preparing product profitability and margin analysis.

• Participate in monthly closing and reconcile inventory and production accounts.

• Assist in developing cost-control procedures and improving operational efficiency.

• Ensure accurate recording of work in progress, finished goods, and raw material movements.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis.

• Experience with BOMs, standard costing, and production cost allocation.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work with multiple departments and meet reporting deadlines.

• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
