Company Description BLS Lad Chartered Accountants (BLS) is a Dubai-based audit firm serving a vast clientele comprising of organisations based in numerous industries. We are an Approved Employer by professional bodies such as ACCA, ICAI, and ICAEW, and a member firm of the Geneva Group International - a leading international alliance of accounting, audit, consultancy, and law firms. Although we are mainly based in Dubai, we have a network of branches and associates in other emirates of the UAE. Our organisation is seeking to add to its team with an Accounting Senior who is semi-qualified (ICAI, ACCA or any other accounting institute) with a minimum of 5 years experience in an audit firm. Role Description As an Accounting Senior, you will be responsible for the following functions: Accounting for client transactions in the accounting software whilst ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards. Supervising journal entries, managing general ledger reconciliations, monitoring month-end and year-end closing processes, and supporting audit and assurance engagements where necessary. Preparing management reports, supporting financial planning, and contributing to process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality of service. Providing guidance to clients on taxation-related matters (including VAT and Corporate Tax) as well as general business advisory. Overseeing the implementation and optimisation of accounting software and internal controls. Qualifications The candidate must have prior experience of working in an audit firm and should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, whilst undergoing their accounting qualification.

Proficiency in using accounting software (Sage, Tally, Zoho Books,etc). Strong technical accounting skills, including preparation and review of Financial Statements and management of Journal Entries (Accounting). Good knowledge of IFRS and UAE regulatory requirements; exposure to VAT and Corporate Tax compliance and reporting is necessary. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and manage client relationships.
