Job Description

• Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures to ensure accurate product costing and inventory valuation.

• Analyze manufacturing costs, prepare regular cost variance reports, and provide actionable insights to management for process improvement.

• Collaborate with production, procurement, and supply chain teams to monitor and control material, labor, and overhead costs.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost accounting reports, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

• Conduct detailed cost analysis for new products, projects, and process changes, supporting business case development and pricing strategies.

• Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions, investigating discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing cost-related data and analysis to support financial planning.

• Support internal and external audits by providing cost accounting documentation and responding to inquiries.

• Continuously review and enhance cost control procedures to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

• Train and mentor junior accounting staff on cost accounting principles and best practices.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, methods, and best practices.

• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and present clear, actionable recommendations.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.

• Experience with inventory management and reconciliation processes.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
