Job Description – Trainee – Audit & Assurance

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Trainee – Audit & Assurance to join our audit team.

The ideal candidate will be ACCA qualified or partially qualified, with AAA (Advanced Audit & Assurance) and SBR (Strategic Business Reporting) successfully cleared.

This role is designed for a candidate who has strong theoretical knowledge of International standards on auditing and International Financial Reporting Standard and is looking to develop practical experience in external audit, assurance, financial statement review and UAE accounting and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will work closely with Audit Seniors and Managers on audit assignments across different industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist seniors in audit planning & preparation Obtain and review client information and financial records.
• Assist in understanding the client's business, operations and accounting processes.
• Prepare audit planning documentation and working papers.
• check financial statement disclosures against applicable IFRS/IAS requirements.
• Identify potential accounting and disclosure issues and discuss them with the Audit Senior.

Qualifications

ACCA Partially Qualified with must have passed AAA – Advanced Audit & Assurance and SBR – Strategic Business Reporting Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field preferred. Strong knowledge of IFRS/IAS and auditing principles.

Experience

• Existing audit experience preferred.
• Fresh ACCA candidates who have cleared AAA and SBR and demonstrate strong technical knowledge may be considered.
• UAE audit experience will be an advantage. Experience with an audit/accounting firm is preferred but not mandatory for exceptionally strong candidates.
