About the Role at Wood

Wood is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its team in the Al Khobar office, located in the Eastern region of Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position within a technically challenging environment, offering an opportunity to contribute to core financial operations.

Core Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a range of financial activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance across various accounting functions. Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and validating Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) transactions processed by the Shared Services team.
• Monitoring ageing reports, collection statuses, and supplier balances in an oversight capacity.
• Managing end-to-end revenue activities, which encompass revenue recognition calculations, month-end revenue entries, project-related reconciliations, and tracking of contract assets and liabilities.
• Preparing month-end closing journals, comprehensive reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Ensuring strict compliance with internal controls and established accounting policies.
• Coordinating effectively with Shared Services, Project Controls, and other Finance teams as required for operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess a strong educational background and relevant professional experience:

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is essential.
• Between 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in an accounting role.
• A solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and Revenue processes.
• Demonstrated experience with Oracle ERP systems.
• Expertise in both management reporting and statutory reporting.
