About Makkah Water Safa and the Role

Makkah Water Safa is seeking a Cost Accountant to join its team. This full-time, on-site position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, and is integral to managing and analyzing cost-related financial data. The role supports effective decision-making and enhances operational efficiency across the company's operations.

Core Responsibilities

The Cost Accountant will be responsible for a range of critical tasks focused on cost management and financial accuracy. Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and maintaining comprehensive cost records.
• Analyzing production and distribution costs to identify trends and areas for optimization.
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities with detailed cost analysis.
• Assisting in pricing decisions by providing thorough cost-based recommendations.

Financial Analysis and Reporting

This role involves meticulous financial processes to ensure data integrity and support broader financial objectives. The Cost Accountant will:

• Preparing and reviewing cost-related journal entries.
• Reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Supporting the preparation of financial statements.

Collaboration and Cost Control

A significant aspect of this position involves cross-functional collaboration to enhance cost efficiency and control. The successful candidate will:

• Collaborate with operations and procurement teams to track cost variances.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a candidate with foundational experience in accounting and a keen interest in cost analysis. Required qualifications include:

• 0-1 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role.
• A strong understanding of financial principles and data analysis.
• Ability to work with detailed financial information and contribute to strategic decisions.

Work Setting

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jeddah, Makkah. The position requires close coordination with both plant and office teams to ensure the consistent flow of accurate and timely financial and cost information.
