Job Description

Due to SAP implementation, the "Senior Tax Accountant" will be responsible for managing tax accounting activities and ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting, compliance, and completion of all tax-related SAP month-end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly tax calculations and related accounting entries.

• Ensure accurate recording of VAT, withholding tax, and other applicable taxes in SAP.

• Perform tax GL reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.

• Execute all assigned tax-related month-end closing activities according to the closing calendar and SLA.

• Review tax postings and investigate errors, unusual balances, or incorrect tax treatments.

• Coordinate with AP, AR, GL, Procurement, and other relevant functions on tax-related matters.

• Maintain complete supporting documentation and audit trails.

• Prepare monthly tax reports and provide closing status and outstanding issues to the Accounting Manager.

• Support internal and external audits and provide requested tax documentation.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and taxation, with previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Hands-on experience as an SAP ERP user is mandatory.

• Practical experience with SAP GL, Tax, AP, AR, and Assets modules is required.

• Strong knowledge of Egyptian Tax Law and local tax regulations, with practical experience in electronic invoicing and tax-related invoice platforms.

• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and coordination skills, with a structured approach to problem-solving.

• High attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity.

• Very Good command of English.

• Tax certification or relevant professional qualification is preferred.

• Knowledge of IFRS is preferred.
