Securing children's rights is the foundation of our work. Millions of children around the world are denied their rights, simply because of who they are or where they are from. We know that to ensure every child has the chance for a future their rights must be upheld.

Through our programming, emergency responses and advocacy, we put the most vulnerable children first, tackling the barriers to survival, learning and protection.

Tasks and Responsibilities

The Accountability Volunteer will support the Accountability team in ensuring accountability to beneficiaries and stakeholders. This includes assisting in the collection, management, and analysis of feedback, supporting information sharing, and promoting community participation. The role contributes to making programs responsive to the needs and feedback of children and communities.

Feedback and response mechanism

• Support in managing current Feedback and Reporting Mechanism (FRM) channels (including data entry, screening, validating, etc.).
• Answer phone calls received by the helpline number or online form.
• Take detailed note of any pending needs or issues reported by the callers.
• Record, categorize, and manage feedback received from multiple channels, including feedback boxes, helplines, online form and Focused Group Discussions (FGDs).
• Report any urgent feedback to the line manager as per the defined process.
• Provide relevant assistance to callers if needed: accurate information and orientation on the sectors’ services

Participation and information sharing

• Conduct field visits to monitor feedback collection mechanisms and ensure their proper functioning.
• Support the facilitation of community meetings and FGDs to gather feedback from children and other stakeholders.
• Document outcomes of participatory processes (notetaking) and share findings for program improvements.
• Support in the transcription of the data collected.
• Support in the analysis and report writing of the quantitative and qualitative data collected under accountability.
• Conduct monitoring activities as requested.
• Support in reviewing and distributing Information sharing materials about SCI programs, services, and feedback mechanisms.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Development Studies, Social Work, Monitoring & Evaluation, or related fields.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in accountability, MEAL, data collection, or helpline/feedback handling.
• Familiarity in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. 
• Familiarity with online data or reporting platforms is an advantage.
