Finance and Accounting intern

Reports To

Operations and Finance Manager and Executive Director

Purpose of the Position

The Finance and Accounting Officer is responsible for supporting the organization's financial and accounting functions by ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, budget monitoring, and compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and applicable Lebanese laws.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and record financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and monthly financial reports.
• Assist in monitoring project and organizational budgets and report any variances.
• Assist in the preparation of donor financial reports
• Assist in the preparation of monthly payroll, including statutory deductions and employee benefits.
• Ensure compliance with organizational financial policies, donor regulations, and Lebanese tax and NSSF requirements.
• Perform any other finance and accounting duties assigned by management.
