Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join a leading investment group. The role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with internal controls, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records
Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and support month-end and year-end closing processes
Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS
Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, and investment-related transactions
Monitor cash flow and support treasury operations
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Process invoices, payments, and expense claims in line with company policies
Support internal and external audit requirements by preparing schedules and documentation
Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial procedures
Maintain proper financial records and documentation
Assist in accounting and reporting of investment-related activities across entities

Skills

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within investment, financial services, or corporate environments
Strong understanding of IFRS and accounting principles
Experience in reconciliations, month-end closing, and financial reporting
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Bilingual: Arabic & English (written and spoken is required)
