Job overview:
As an Accountant the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting for a newly acquired Italian furniture business in Dubai specializing in premium furniture, interior solutions, and lifestyle products.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage daily bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records.
- Process and reconcile supplier/vendor invoices and payments.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable activities.
- Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Track and reconcile inventory transactions and stock valuations.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports, financial statements, and management dashboards.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, UAE regulations, and VAT requirements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Collaborate with operations and warehouse teams to maintain inventory accuracy.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 4 years’ accounting experience
Strong understanding of bookkeeping, inventory accounting, and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication skills and full English proficiency is mandatory
- Strong analytical skills as well as process oriented
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Power Point etc
