Job overview:

As an Accountant the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting for a newly acquired Italian furniture business in Dubai specializing in premium furniture, interior solutions, and lifestyle products.

Main responsibilities:

• Manage daily bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records.
• Process and reconcile supplier/vendor invoices and payments.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable activities.
• Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Track and reconcile inventory transactions and stock valuations.
• Prepare monthly MIS reports, financial statements, and management dashboards.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, UAE regulations, and VAT requirements.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Collaborate with operations and warehouse teams to maintain inventory accuracy.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 4 years’ accounting experience

• Strong understanding of bookkeeping, inventory accounting, and financial reporting.

  
  
• Excellent communication skills and full English proficiency is mandatory
• Strong analytical skills as well as process oriented
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Power Point etc
