AR Accountant

Job Purpose

The AR Accountant is responsible for managing the end-to-end customer invoicing collections and reconciliation cycle. The role ensures accurate revenue recognition timely cash collection and effective management of deferred income and down payments while maintaining close coordination with Sales and Customers.

Key Responsibilities

Invoicing & Billing

• Issue customer invoices and certificate-based payments in line with contract terms.
• Maintain and update the Billing Plan on SAP.
• Coordinate with Sales and customers on billing and collection matters.

Collections & Receivables Management

• Monitor incoming collections and record customer payments accurately.
• Record and allocate customer payments against the correct invoices/accounts.
• Follow up on overdue receivables and outstanding customer accounts.
• Coordinate on Letters of Guarantee linked to customer contracts supporting timely release upon collection.

Reconciliation & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain the customer aging report.
• Prepare the Operating Revenue list.
• Prepare and update the BDA (Bad Debt Allowance) forecast and BDA list.

Deferred Income & Down Payments

• Manage and clear deferred income entries.
• Process down payment clearing and settlement against final invoices.
• Ensure accurate settlement from customer down payments.

Mobility needs you

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
• 1 3years of experience in an AR / Accounting role.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP (FI / billing modules).
• Good command of English.

Skills

• Solid understanding of revenue recognition deferred income and reconciliation principles.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong follow-up coordination and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple customer accounts simultaneously.
• Well organized and able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
