The Opportunity

Are you ready to develop your accounting career in a collaborative, global organization? We are looking for an Accountant to join our Finance team in Egypt and contribute to the accuracy, reliability, and timely completion of our accounting activities.

In this role, you will support the processing and maintenance of financial transactions while developing practical experience across core accounting processes. You will work under the guidance of experienced team members, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and help ensure that financial information is recorded in line with established policies, procedures, and internal controls.

To succeed, you will need a strong eye for detail, a willingness to take action, and a genuine interest in continuously developing your accounting knowledge.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain and review the general ledger, ensuring all transactions (accruals, prepayments, intercompany, depreciation) are correctly recorded.
• Retrieve bank statements for the LENA cluster and systematically match internal accounting records against bank transactions and report it to relevant stakeholders.
• Perform payment uploads for all AP Trade and non-trade suppliers across LENA.
• Review, post, and reconcile project-based marketing activities for LENA cluster
• Review accounting records and supporting documents to identify discrepancies, investigate routine issues, and follow through on required corrections.
• Work collaboratively with Finance colleagues and business stakeholders to meet deadlines, maintain effective controls, and support improvements in accounting processes.

You May Be a Great Fit If

• You have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or another relevant field.
• 1:2 years of experience in GL up to finalization of accounts role. 
• You are a recent graduate or have up to two years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, audit, or a related area.
• You understand foundational accounting principles and are familiar with financial transactions, reconciliations, journal entries, and basic reporting activities.
• You can use Microsoft Excel effectively and are comfortable learning accounting applications and ERP systems.
• You bring strong attention to detail, clear communication, a collaborative approach, customer focus, and a commitment to taking ownership of your professional development.
