On behalf of our client, a leading consumer electronics and e-commerce company in Cairo, we’re looking for a talented and detail-oriented senior accountant to join our team in Cairo.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who is looking to take ownership of key financial activities, contribute to accurate and efficient financial operations, and grow within a tech-driven and fast-growing company.

What you’ll be responsible for

As a senior accountant, you will play an important role in managing and supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing daily accounting transactions and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Handling accounts payable and receivable activities.
• Monitoring and reconciling cash and bank transactions.
• Supporting monthly and year-end closing activities.
• Managing and reviewing inventory accounting and reconciliations.
• Maintaining accurate records of fixed assets, depreciation, and related transactions.
• Supporting tax calculations, filings, and compliance in coordination with the relevant teams.
• Preparing financial reports, reconciliations, and accounting analyses.
• Reviewing accounting entries and ensuring proper documentation and classification.
• Working closely with other departments to resolve financial and accounting discrepancies.
• Using Odoo to manage and monitor accounting operations and financial transactions.
• Supporting process improvements and contributing to a more efficient and structured finance function.

Requirements

What we’re looking for

• 4–7 years of relevant accounting experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on Odoo experience — must.
• Previous experience in retail, trade, IT, electronics, or e-commerce is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of:
  • Tax and VAT
  • Inventory accounting
  • Fixed assets
  • Cash and bank transactions
  • Account reconciliations
  • Financial reporting
• Strong Excel skills.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
