Service Line Overview

Providing a wide range of Audit and Assurance services to private, public and international companies across various sectors. We work closely with over 700 companies annually, ranging from SMEs to international listed companies. The client base is exciting and fast growing. Role Overview

As an Associate 1, you will support External Audit engagements within Financial Services or Non Financial Services by assisting with audit testing, preparing clear working papers and learning Grant Thornton's audit methodology. You will work closely with experienced team members and build strong foundations in audit, accounting and client service.

Key Responsibilities

üSupporting audit engagements across Financial Services or Non Financial Services clients under the guidance of senior team members

üPerforming assigned audit procedures and documenting work clearly and accurately

üAssisting with the preparation of work papers and financial statement schedules

üObtaining and organizing client information required for audit testing

üUsing audit software, artificial intelligence and data analytics tools as directed

üCommunicating progress, questions and issues promptly to the engagement team

üBuilding an understanding of IFRS, audit methodology and Financial Services regulations

üCompleting professional development activities and working towards a relevant qualification

Success Criteria

ü0-1 year of External Audit experience; internship or relevant practical experience is an advantage

üBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline

üStudying towards a professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CPA

üBasic understanding of accounting principles and IFRS

üComfortable using Microsoft Office and willing to learn audit software

üStrong attention to detail, organization and time management

üClear communication skills and a collaborative approach

üWillingness to work additional hours and travel as needed
