WE ARE HIRING – SR. ACCOUNTANT(MALE/FEMALE) FOR OUR SHOP IN GOLD SOUQ | Location: UAE – Gold Souq | Industry: Jewellery / Gold / Diamonds | Experience: Minimum 5+ years of UAE accounting experience | Joining: Immediate joiners preferred | We are looking for an experienced Shop Accountant to manage the day-to-day accounting operations of our jewellery and gold souq business. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting, gold inventory management, and UAE VAT compliance. | Key Responsibilities | - Handle day-to-day shop accounting operations. | - Maintain daily sales, purchase, and expense records. | - Manage cash, bank transactions, and bank reconciliations. | - Handle customer and supplier accounts. | - Reconcile daily sales, cash collections, and POS transactions. | - Maintain gold, diamond, and jewellery inventory records. | - Track gold purchases, sales, stock movements, and inventory variances. | - Calculate and monitor profit margins on gold and jewellery sales. | - Handle UAE VAT calculations, returns, and related documentation. | - Prepare monthly financial reports and account statements. | - Assist with month-end closing and audit requirements. | - Ensure accurate accounting records and proper documentation. | Requirements | - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; | - Minimum 5+ years of UAE accounting experience. | - Experience in jewellery, gold accounting is highly preferred. | - Strong knowledge of gold inventory accounting and stock reconciliation. | - Good understanding of UAE VAT regulations. | - Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, and POS systems. | - Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities. | - Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently. | - Immediate joiners preferred. | Preferred Candidate Profile | - Candidates from Gujarat or Mumbai, India, are preferred. | - Candidates currently based in the UAE with relevant UAE accounting experience will be considered. | - Experience working with gold shops or jewellery retailers in the Gold Souq is a strong advantage. | Interested candidates can share their CV for consideration.
