Location: Dubai, UAE | Industry: Restaurant / Food & Beverage (F&B) | Employment Type: Full-Time | Job Summary | We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to manage restaurant accounting, financial reporting, delivery aggregator reconciliation, food cost control, inventory, payroll, auditing, and UAE tax compliance. Previous experience in the UAE restaurant industry is highly preferred. | Key Responsibilities | • Manage daily accounting transactions, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end closing. | • Prepare monthly financial statements, profit and loss reports, management accounts, and balance sheet reconciliations. | • Reconcile daily sales from POS, cash, card payments, online orders, and bank deposits, including discounts, refunds, and promotions. | • Handle delivery aggregator reconciliation and accounting bookings for Talabat, Deliveroo, Careem, and Noon Food, verifying sales, commissions, discounts, promotions, refunds, settlements, and outstanding payments. | • Monitor and control food costs, food purchases, consumption, inventory, wastage, recipe costing, supplier pricing, and stock variances to maintain target food cost percentages and improve gross profit margins. | • Manage supplier invoices, operating expenses, bank reconciliations, supplier payments, cash flow, and petty cash. | • Process monthly payroll, prepare WPS salary files, and maintain payroll accounting records. | • Assist with UAE VAT compliance, VAT return preparation, Corporate Tax calculations, and supporting documentation. | • Prepare budgets, cash flow forecasts, expense analysis, and branch-wise financial reports, where applicable. | • Conduct internal financial checks, identify discrepancies and control weaknesses, and recommend corrective actions. | • Coordinate internal and external audits and prepare the necessary schedules and supporting documents. | • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable UAE regulations. | Qualifications & Requirements | • B. Com (Bachelor of Commerce) is mandatory. | • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE restaurant industry. | • Practical knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, payroll, and WPS. | • Strong knowledge of restaurant accounting, food cost control, inventory management, and financial reporting. | • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AI tools, and accounting software. | • Knowledge of Xero, Foodics, and Supy is preferred. | • CMA, CPA, ACCA, or CIMA qualifications are an advantage but not mandatory. | • Excellent professional etiquette, communication skills, integrity, confidentiality, and a responsible attitude toward work. | • Ability to work independently, coordinate effectively with team members, and meet deadlines.
