• Job Summary:

One of our clients in Abu Dhabi is looking for Accountant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Key Responsibilities
  1. Accounting & Financial Management
  •    Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  •    Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  •    Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
  •    Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation.
  •    Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and financial regulations.
  2. Financial Reporting & Analysis
  •    Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  •    Analyze financial performance, identify variances, and provide recommendations to management.
  •    Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance indicators.
  •    Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting.
  3. Budgeting & Forecasting
  •    Assist in developing annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
  •    Monitor actual financial performance against approved budgets.
  •    Conduct variance analysis and highlight potential financial risks.
  •    Provide financial insights to support management decision-making and business planning.
  4. Audit & Compliance
  •    Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
  •    Ensure compliance with applicable financial reporting standards and statutory requirements.
  •    Strengthen internal financial controls and recommend process improvements.
  •    Ensure proper documentation and adherence to financial procedures.
  5. General Finance Responsibilities
  •    Support financial planning and strategic business initiatives.
  •    Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.
  •    Coordinate with other departments on financial matters.
  •    Handle additional finance and accounting responsibilities as assigned by management.
  

Requirements:

• Key Requirements & Qualifications
  
• •    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  
• •    Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Accounting and Finance; ideally 10–15 years.
  
• •    Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
  
• •    Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting standards.
  
• •    Experience in managing accounting operations and financial closing processes.
  
• •    Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
  
• •    Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  
• •    Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  
• •    Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  
• •    High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications
  
• •    Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent is an advantage.
  
• •    Experience in the UAE or GCC business environment is preferred.
  
• •    Knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations is an advantage.
  
• •    Arabic language proficiency is preferred but not mandatory.
