الوصف الوظيفي

This position is responsible for strategic planning and financial management for one of our clients from an Energy Services industry with its office based in Erbil, Iraq and expanding operations in MENA. The role focuses on developing and monitoring financial reports, managing budgets, and developing strategies to minimize financial risk. Strong oral and written communication skills are a must as well as a demonstrable ability to contribute to the company leadership team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies and plans aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making processes.
  • Prepare monthly budgets and monitor expenses against the budgeted expenses and reporting the deviations, if any
  • Evaluate financial performance by analysing and interpreting data, providing insights, and recommending corrective actions as needed.
  • Work out the Plant profitability and keeping a control over the costs, expenses, and optimizing the fixed and variable costs
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Manage financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and tax compliance.
  • Maintain the timelines of statutory payments and ensure that statutory dues are paid in time without attracting any penalty/interest for delayed payment
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and company policies.
  • Mentor and develop finance and accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Manage and lead a team of finance and accounting professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to achieve departmental objectives
  • Support company senior management in securing financing for company growth and specific projects

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant with Big 4 articles experience 
  • 7 years' experience in finance and accounting roles. Must have handled a team for 3-4 years.
  • Proven expertise in utilizing ERP software such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Prior experience in finance and accounting within Iraq
  • Experience from Oil & Energy sector
