Job Description

A___STUDIO is an architecture and interior design firm seeking an organised, detail-oriented Accountant to manage daily financial operations and track the financial performance of our design and fit-out projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate accounting records, including invoices, receipts, expenses, and payments.

  • Track each project’s budget, expenditure, client payments, and profitability.

  • Prepare client invoices, monitor payment schedules, and follow up on outstanding balances.

  • Reconcile supplier and subcontractor accounts, checking payments against approved orders, contracts, and supporting documents.

  • Manage petty cash and reconcile office and site advances.

  • Perform bank reconciliations and prepare weekly cash-flow forecasts.

  • Process payroll and maintain employee expense and reimbursement records.

  • Coordinate with the external tax accountant on tax filings, electronic invoicing, and required documentation.

  • Prepare monthly reports summarising income, expenses, outstanding balances, and project financial performance.

  • Maintain organised financial files and ensure payments receive the necessary management approval.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • 5–10 years of accounting experience, preferably in architecture, interior design, construction, or fit-out.

  • Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software; Odoo experience is an advantage.

  • Working knowledge of Egyptian taxation and electronic invoicing.

  • Experience in project cost tracking and supplier reconciliation.

  • High attention to detail, integrity, confidentiality, and consistent follow-up.

  • Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with the design, procurement, and site teams.
