About the job Treasury Accountant – Operations & Settlements - Perm

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor daily balances across multiple bank accounts and currencies.
Maintain an accurate daily bank and Treasury position.
Prepare and execute approved transfers between banks and accounts.
Monitor settlement obligations and ensure sufficient funding before applicable cut-off times.
Track incoming and outgoing transfers and investigate outstanding items.
Monitor remittance and money-transfer settlement requirements.
Maintain transfer confirmations and complete supporting documentation.
Track value dates, bank cut-off times and settlement deadlines.
Follow maker-checker and authorization controls.
Escalate failed, delayed or unusual transactions immediately.
Coordinate with Accounting regarding bank reconciliations and outstanding items.
Support preparation of the daily fund position and liquidity forecast.
Prepare accurate Treasury reports within short daily deadlines.
Use Excel and Power BI to automate, analyses and present Treasury information.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance.
Minimum three years of Treasury, banking, settlement, or payment-operations experience.
Previous experience in an exchange house, remittance company, bank or regulated financial institution is strongly preferred.
Practical experience with bank transfers, settlements, and multiple bank accounts.
Understanding of multiple currencies, value dates, payment cut-offs, and transaction controls.
Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, logical formulas, data validation, and reconciliation techniques.
Practical Power BI experience, including data preparation, data modelling, dashboards, and reporting.
Ability to process a high volume of transactions and information quickly without compromising accuracy.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under strict daily deadlines.
Good English communication skills.
