Role Overview:
The Finance Volunteer will play an important role in Scanning, organizing and archiving financial documentation, supporting the finance team in day-to-day accounting operations, partner verification processes and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records in accordance with ActionAid policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Key Activities
• Assist in developing and maintaining effective filing, archiving and record keeping systems both (hard copy & electronically) according to AAAR procedures.
• Prepare photocopies and scans of vouchers and other supporting documents required.
• Assist in ensuring proper documentation of payment vouchers and all other supporting documents.
• Other duties as assigned.
Person Specification
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferable bachelor s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Management, Economics or equivalent
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
• 0-1 years experience in accounting/finance.
• Experience in the NGO sector preferred.
• Experience in the Finance partnership preferred.
• Proven ability to handle a workload and multi-task to meet deadlines.
• Organized and accurate.
• Understanding of financial systems and procedures
• Understanding of computerized accounts packages, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Written and verbal in Arabic & English
