Green Finance Advisor

Job Description

A Large Non-for profit organization located in Amman is hiring a full-time Green Finance Advisor position for 12 months period.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assess opportunities, challenges and barriers to enable the industrial sector to participate in

Green investment, also analyses potential incentives to increase opportunities of green           projects.

• Provide assistance   for beneficiaries to develop bankable proposals.
• Identify relevant sources of green financing and opportunities for matchmaking.
• Building capacities in green financing for beneficiaries through training and awareness

    activities.

• Propose a new service line to be provided for beneficiaries concerning green financing.
• Pilot Services for Selected  beneficiaries
• Share best practices and case studies of successfully funded green projects to guide

    beneficiaries.

Required Qualifications and Experiences

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Science or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in the field of green financial advisory and sustainability focused areas.
• Experience of working with the industrial sector or on decarbonization projects is a plus.
• Familiarity with industrial technologies and sustainability practices is a plus.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong understanding of Jordan's industrial and financial landscape.
• Have knowledge about national regulations on green financing mechanisms.
• Experience of project proposal development.
• Proven ability to design and execute capacity-building programs.
• Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks and green finance instruments.
• Analytical skills for financial modeling and risk assessment.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholders networking. Skills.
• Excellent English language speaking and writing skills.
• Computer and internet competencies.
