Job Description: Senior Accountant – F&B Central Kitchen
Position Overview
The Senior Accountant will oversee the financial activities of the central kitchen, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and efficient cost management. This role is vital for managing budgets, analyzing financial data, and providing actionable insights to support the profitability and operational efficiency of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
1.Financial Management:
- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
2.Cost Control & Analysis:
- Develop and monitor budgets for kitchen operations and production.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis for food and beverage items to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Cost Controller to review and manage production costs and pricing strategies.
3.Inventory & Fixed Assets:
- Monitor inventory accounting, ensuring proper valuation and reporting.
- Oversee fixed asset tracking, depreciation, and capital expenditure planning.
4.Audit & Compliance:
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
5.System Management:
- Utilize accounting software such as Mycrosis or other ERP systems for financial management and reporting.
- Ensure accurate data entry and reconciliation within the system.
6.Financial Planning:
- Prepare financial forecasts, cash flow analysis, and risk assessments.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial performance.
8.Reporting:
- Generate financial reports for stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and performance indicators.
- Work closely with the CFO or Finance Manager to provide insights for decision-making.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification is a plus).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in accounting roles, preferably within the F&B or hospitality industry.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Mycrosis, QuickBooks, or ERP systems).
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and cost control practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
- Language: Proficiency in English & Arabic.
